The very name conveys what this organization Stand for.
It means Helping Out People Everyday.
HOPE was conceived when the North Hardin Ministerial Association began to study the possibility of providing assistance through a central agency. Previously, there were too few resources with many services being duplicated by individuals and groups.
When HOPE opened its doors, the mission of helping others in Northern Hardin County became a reality. HOPE was incorporated in July of 1982 and is staffed by dedicated employees and volunteers willing to give their time and talent to others. Volunteer hours average from 500 to 600 per month.
Emergency assistance is provided for needy individuals in all of northern Hardin County to include Radcliff, Vine Grove, Rineyville, West Point, Fort Knox, and urban areas north of Highways 434 and 220.
Emergency Assistance includes:
- Clothing
- Education and training programs related to improving the quality of life
- Food
- Furniture
- Gas vouchers
- Prescription assistance
- Referral to other agencies
- Rental assistance
- Transportation assistance
- Utilities
HOPE is successful because of the generous donations and support of individual, businesses, civic organizations, churches, and the United Way of Central Kentucky.
Caring for the needs of others is the primary objective of North Hardin HOPE. |
